Dei unike naturomgjevnadane i Geirangerfjorden vart skapte gjennom ei rekkje istider, då isbreane skar ut djupe fjordar mellom dei høge fjell. Denne naturlege skjønnheit har gjort at området stadig figurerer på lister over dei mest spektakulære stadane i verda.
Dei imponerande fossefall, som for eksempel dei berømte fossane Dei sju søstrer, Friaren og Brudesløret, stuper ned i fjorden. Dette er noko av grunnen til at Geirangerfjorden står på UNESCOs prestisjefulle verdsarvliste – og fleire andre lister over dei fagraste stadane i verda.

Polarstar – Ishavets Grand Old Lady er ei oppleving i seg sjølv, og på turen kan du lære meir om all den spanande polarhistorie skuta har vore med på.
Det er seglasen i fjorden som er opplevinga på denne turen, og skuta går ikkje til kai nokon stad. Avgang frå Ishavsmuseet på Brandal laurdag 17. juni kl. 10.00, med retur på Brandal ca. kl. 23.00. Inkludert i prisen er båttur, servering av lunsj og middag om bord, og kaffi gjennom heile seglasen. Og ikkje minst storslått natur og fellesskap.

Join us in exploring the beautiful Geiranger Fjord with the unique polar historical vessel Polarstar.
The unique natural environment in the Geirangerfjord was created through a series of ice ages, when the glaciers carved out deep fjords between the high mountains. This natural beauty has contributed to the area constantly appearing on lists of the most spectacular places in the world.
The impressive waterfalls, such as the famous Seven Sisters, Friaren and Brudesløret waterfalls, plunge into the fjord. This is part of the reason why the Geirangerfjord is on UNESCO’s prestigious world heritage list – and several other lists of the most beautiful places in the world.

Polarstar – The Grand Old Lady of the Arctic Ocean is an experience in itself, and on the trip you can learn more about all the exciting polar history the ship has been involved in.
It is the sailing in the fjord that is the experience on this trip, and the ship does not dock anywhere. Departure from the Ishavsmuseet at Brandal on Saturday 17 June at 10.00, with return at Brandal approx. at 11 p.m. Included in the price of NOK. NOK 1,950 is a boat trip, serving lunch and dinner on board, and coffee throughout the trip. And not least magnificent nature and togetherness.
