Join us for a magical summer evening aboard the Grand Old Lady of the Arctic Ocean. Midsummer celebration and the Slinningsbålet bonfire with Polarstar on June 20, 2026.
The Slinningsbålet bonfire in Ålesund is the world's largest annual bonfire, and perhaps the world's most famous, nearly 40 meters high.
This year you can celebrate Midsummer with us on board the M/S Polarstar. We will start at Brandal on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 6:00 PM with a leisurely sail into the Åsefjord, while a cold buffet with seafood, cured meats, etc. will be served.
Afterwards, there will be a Midsummer celebration on board when we lie down by the Slinningsbålet bonfire and enjoy the fire from the ship.
Open bar during the entire sailing period with the possibility of purchasing drinks and snacks.
