Polarstar to Hodr Hjørungavåg Viking site and to Spanish evening at the Ishavsmuseet

On the way to Hodr we pass the National Monument for the Jomsvikingslaget in Hjørungavåg in 986, before the tour continues into Hodr Hjørungavåg Viking site. Arrival at 12:30.

A short walk to the Viking House where we are greeted by Vikings who have fires in the mines and grills. We hear about the Jomsvikingslag in 986 and the crazy idea of ​​building a longhouse here, from local timber and replicas of tools from the Viking era. From the grill, lunch is served with long-roasted leg of lamb and Viking buns served by Millenium cafe.

At 3 pm we set sail for Liavågen and sail to Brandal and the Ishavsmuseet, arriving at 4:15 pm. Short stroll in the center of Brandal with a story about the Arctic village of Brandal before we meet at the Ishavsmuseet for a tour at 5:30 pm.

Here we transform the Ishavsmuseet into a piece of Spain for an evening!

Åge Folkestad – the eel-sunderer who started Casa Vital in Altea over 25 years ago – invites you to a Spanish evening at home.

The evening offers:

Return with Polarstar to Ålesund at 11:00 PM.
